Fresh, new look for the HETAS, Woodsure, and Ready to Burn websites
Serena Sumner, HETAS Head of Communications, explains;
We know that for many it’s a digital-first world when looking for information for work or home. We wanted to bring together the wealth of knowledge and experience within our organisation and make it accessible to everyone. Whether it’s an installer or chimney sweep looking to become HETAS accredited or registered, or a homeowner wanting to get the latest guidance on wood fuel for their stove, the new sites provide a single, trustworthy source.
For those in the trade, the Technical Hub is the place to find the latest legislation and standard updates, helping the industry to continue working towards the safe and efficient use of wood, solid fuel and biomass appliances.
Meanwhile, the Advice Hub guides homeowners through everything they need to know before, during and after installation of a wood or solid fuel burner. With a more intuitive journey that seamlessly links top maintenance tips with an on-page search for a local HETAS registrant, homeowners have everything at their fingertips. The enhanced digital offering will also include more video and visual content to help deliver HETAS and Woodsure’s vital messages around the safe and efficient use of stoves, biomass boilers and fuels.
Bruce Allen, HETAS CEO, comments:
Air quality is a critical issue and forms a major part of our country’s response to climate change and decarbonisation. We have both an opportunity and a responsibility in our industry to ensure the household burning of wood, solid fuel and biomass is done responsibly and with the minimum effect on our environment. This is a guiding purpose of both HETAS and Woodsure. The new websites are a huge part of information sharing both within our industry and with the public to help us reach that goal.
